Inamoto makes Fulham move Monday 15 July 2002 Japan midfield player Junichi Inamoto has signed for Fulham FC on a one-year loan deal with the option of three further years. World Cup exploits The 23-year-old joins from J-League club Gamba Osaka following his exploits in last month's FIFA World Cup where he scored two goals to help Japan reach the second round. Season at Arsenal Inamoto will hope to make a greater impact at Fulham than he did during a dis- appointing season's loan at Arsenal FC in 2001/02, where he failed to make a single league appearance. Inamoto said: "London still appeals to me. I have joined Fulham, where they will play me. I have always thought it would be difficult to make it in England. It is very physical, but I can cope."
