A person is guilty of computer tampering in the third degree when he commits the crime of computer tampering in the fourth degree and: 1. he does so with an intent to commit or attempt to commit or...以下略 简单来说有人会认为违法就是根基於「对他人电脑或电脑资料产生破坏」 所以要告就得有证据 目前几个看到提出告诉似乎都没下文 甚至或许连官司都只是谣传 (可能原本accuse只是私下的指控，中英翻过後就误认为「提告」) 而我也还没神通到去查美国法院审理资料 小结： 有无违法端看电脑破坏是否属实且是否有人告它告成功 而目前看来这家公司还活得好好的...so~ 个人经验： 没有到严重破坏 但starforce容易让光碟机读取很吵 而也不是每个游戏都会这样 个人感觉是和压片品质也有关 电脑寿命问题，可能是占资源吧 大家都知道温度过高会耗损cpu硬碟之类寿命 starforce在死命侦测光碟机时我想也是一种耗损... 移除麻烦也是事实，不过官网有移除工具 结论： 我不喜欢starforce，但不会硬扣个违法帽子给它 -- I ask for nothing. I can get by. But I know so many less lucky than I. --
