Grosjean missing for France
France will be minus Sebastien Grosjean for their Davis Cup semi-final against
Spain in Alicante later this month.
The world number 10 was suffering with a thigh injury but has also been badly o
ut of form in recent weeks.
Arnaud Clement, Mickael Llodra, Paul-Henri Mathieu, Fabrice Santoro and Julien
Benneteau make up the French team for the 24-26 September tie.
"Until now we've played the entire 2004 campaign without him and we've gotten t
hrough," said team captain Guy Forget.
Spain have named ex-French Open winners Carlos Moya and Juan Carlos Ferrero in
their squad, with Tommy Robredo and Rafael Nadal completing the team.
Moya and Ferrero will play the singles rubbers while Robredo and Nadal will joi
n forces for the doubles.
Spain are bidding for their second title after taking the Cup with a victory ov
er Australia in 2000.
The United States play the other semi-final against Belarus in Charleston, Sout
h Carolina.
