Valencia success Sanchez Flores had not taken up a coaching role since October 2007 when he was dismissed by Valencia CF after two fine seasons at Mestalla. Benfica had been without a permanent coach since the departure of Jose Antonio Camacho in March, when Fernando Chalana took the reins as caretaker. 'Ambition and patience' "We will be demanding and we want to achieve important objectives, something that Benfica have managed in the past," said Sanchez Flores. "We will have the ambition and patience needed to get to the top. I don't want to make any promises, as we will be successful. We'll have to be very ambitious but always very focused.
