Blaugrana technical secretary Txiki Begiristain flew to Asturias on Monday to speak directly to Villa and was told in no uncertain terms that the player wanted a deal to be done. "I want to join Barcelona," Villa is quoted as telling the Barca chief by Sport. Valencia admitted that there have been talks, but the rumour mill has since gone into over-drive regarding the type of deal that could be put forward to try and convince them to sell. If Barcelona meet los Che's asking price then a move could be done, but the involvement of loan players is said to complicate matters and could delay any move.
