Barcelona look set to complete a deal that will see them sign Robinho on loan from Manchester City for one season with a view to making the move permanent next year, Catalan television are reporting. TV3 state that an agreement will be done in the next few hours after the Blaugrana made their interest official and talks to iron out the details are going on at the moment. Robinho has stated that he would welcome a move back to the Spanish league and Pep Guardiola is a known fan of the Brazilian star after he stated he would have liked to have signed him 12 months ago. Reports in both England and Spain have suggested that the 25-year-old has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave if a team in the Champions League make a move for him and Barça have used that. Talks about a possible move for Robinho are rumoured to have begun when Manchester City enquired about Samuel Eto'o and a deal for the Cameroonian striker could be part of the whole package. With Barcelona wanting Robinho to bolster their options on the left next term after Franck Ribery was put out of reach by Bayern Munich, the English side are keen on adding a new striker to their ranks.
