Alex Gordon (groin) expected to miss 8 weeks
Alex Gordon (groin) is expected to miss eight weeks.
Gordon has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 strain of his left groin, an injury
he suffered Wednesday night while trying to track down a ball to deep left
field. The star left fielder was placed on the disabled list Thursday morning
and probably won't be back until sometime in September. It's obviously a
massive blow for the AL Central-leading Royals. Jarrod Dyson is starting in
left on Thursday and will be an intriguing fantasy play going forward because
of his excellent speed.
