Slowey needs surgery on his right wrist and will be out for the season, Sid
Hartman of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. However, there's been no
official announcement on a possible surgery from the Twins.
Recommendation: This report doesn't cite a source, so it may just be
speculation at this point. Slowey is out indefinitely after he was unable to
play catch on Friday and is meeting with doctors this weekend. He may need
surgery to remove a bone chip in his wrist, but it's not clear how long he'd
be out if he has surgery to fix the problem.
