News: A source informed the New York Daily News Tuesday that Carlos Beltran's
visit to Vail, Colorado provided "a reassuring diagnosis."
Impact: Beltran could return to the Mets soon after the All-Star break. Dr.
Richard Steadman, a specialist in microfracture surgery, examined the
32-year-old outfielder Monday and agreed with the original diagnosis of a
bone bruise above the right knee. It's great news for Mets fans and fantasy
owners alike.
