Wondering when I'm coming back
I could do about anything
I could even learn how to love like you

Yet every subtle adulation, the crux was never met.
Badinaging the self-conscious subtlety, I can't do anything but flinch.
Like profligating the rest of the time, elegies made and tides wane,
relentlessly.
