标题[Talk] Am I asking too much?

So this past Saturday I went out with a guy I met on ptt. He's in the same
school as I am, only a different major, and he's about my age and height.
I really just wanted to make a friend, as I am new to the school and did kind
of isolate myself inside my room.
Anyways, when I suggested we go out shopping, I was thinking of just shopping
and maybe grabbing a bite to eat. I never intended this to be a date in anyway
but I think he did. =.= He dragged the evening on and kept asking me if I
wanted to go anywhere else, grab a snack after we finished dinner, etc. He
also kept asking if I wanted to go to Kaohsiung with him this Sunday, even
though I hinted that I have a lot of work to do this week.
P.S. Big minus if a guy can't get a hint.
He's nice and we chatted the whole way, but I dislike the fact that he started
putting the moves on me (i.e. putting his hand on my shoulder) before I even
showed the slightest interest in taking this to the next level.
Do you think I should make it clear that I have no intention of making this a
relationship early on? I did a lot of evading and twisting last night, lol, to
keep his hand off my shoulder, haha.
The thing is, I don't dislike him, just maybe I haven't made myself clear that
even though I am looking for a boyfriend, I am not the type of girl that will
fall for someone quickly. I am a Taurus, and I observe and judge from a safe
distance. He's a nice guy, and it may just be the way guys court girls in
Taiwan (I have no way of knowing that though), but can't he be a bit more of a
gentleman? I thought that by paying separately for stuff, I had made it clear
that it was not a date =.=
Really, if it were a date, I expect the guy to pay for everything.
So what should I do? Just keep chatting to him on msn and think of excuses to
not go out together? Or make it clear that I don't like touchy friends and
eliminate him from being a potential boyfriend?
Dating is an art that I haven't discovered.
