I'm having a hard time understanding the title of : the article I'm supposed to translate, so right now I'm just skipping : all the strange, untranslatable terms. Always start with the easy stuff, : I say. : Oh well...Practice makes perfect, I guess? : I really hate that saying though. I think it's a cumbersome if you want to stick strictly to the words. I mean, there are subtle discrepancy of the usage between chinese and english, especially the slang or old saying! From time to time, we get used to the sense of english but couldn't connect it with the sense of Chinese. I helped a web friend to translate his website, I can't believe I don't even know how to say "written material" in chinese. I know it's like documents or something actual, not anything from the electronical internet or ebooks. But I still couldn't find a proper word in chinese to describe it with a gernerally correct meaning. And if I make it become a sentence which often shows up at the English classes in junior high in Taiwan, it would be too corny and quite strange for native speakers. --
