Einstein said God doesn't throw the dice. That means everything should have its own cause. Every object follows certain rules, so they are predictable. But this notion seems(forgive my ignorance of physics) to contradict those basics of quantum mechanics--all phenomena are only combination of chance events. Then why do we sometimes feel compelled to do something like our future has been more or less predetermined, while at other times as in the case of casting a dice the result is up in the air until the last moment? Suppose the randomness is the fundamental state in the universe: each and any particle moves at will without any law, but somehow in the history of evolution the "invisible hand" intervenes, setting the rule; thence everything is different. There's no turning back. --
