标题[Ask ] Thanksgiving party

Although the Thanksgiving already passed, I still like to
hold a Thanksgiving party in my place.
Is there anyone know how to hold a party?
Actually, I already have some plans in my mind.
The origin of this party is that my friend would like to come to my home
to bake a cake and some cookies. Hence, I'd like to invite our friends to
take a bite and have a party. But there should be not only desserts, right?
So how can I handle other foods? People who want to come bring one plate or...
demand someone to reserve a pizza?
And also, what do we do in a party? dance? sing? where the machine come from?
I'm quite confused by myself.
