标题[Mind] Piece of my mind
时间Mon Mar 26 11:06:05 2007
I don't know if it is just me, or does it exist among most of the people
comes to this place alot, but I feel like discussing and doing correction
for other's English mistakes.
I know it is written among the rules and regulations of this board that
gramma and spelling is not the important issue, the important issue is
the free use of English on this board and the exchange of minds using
English.
There are indeed many people that exchanged ideas, and requested help.
Some of them did it with excellence, some did not, but it was acceptable.
But when is enough enough? When can some one step up and say
"Hey... This totally doesn't make sense!"
"Hey! There is such a thing called Dr. Eye, can you check your stuff
before it is posted?"
"Hey, this looks like English, but the gramma is totally Chinese"
or
"Hey! Are you here to toss your school work at us or what?"
It not that I can not accept mistakes. I know that I also make mistakes
here and there, and my grandma is also Chinese. But sometimes it is
good to tell others' where their mistakes are, so they can improve, right?
I like this board, because it the only few places where I can use my
English freely. Most of my time in TW, I find it very difficult to
achieve this.
So, I just feel like to say this: It great to see many people try to use
English, and it is ok to use it incorrectly, but please don't abuse it.
