Hi everyone, Recently I "dig out" an useful reference book - email English,. written by Paul Emmerson. My former associate recommended this book to me two years ago and now I recommend it to all boardmates. :) (Yes you guess right, I haven't read it yet! haha...) This book was adopted for the staff training of a famous foreign company, and I forget the company name, sorry. :P This book is for those learners who's English at intermediate or upper-imtermediate level who want to write better emails. The learners can study on thier on or with a teacher. (Teacher? I'm too moneyless to hire an English techer!!) In the real life, especially in the countury not use English as an native language, the writter suggests us to get feedback on the emails in daily life. Finding a friend whose English is better than yours, or an native speaker, then ask them to make comments on your writing. Also, study the English in the emails you receive. If you receive a well-written email, remenber to look carefully at the language and build your own phase book. Yes, this book also includes phrase bank and useful expresions for you. :) Besides the writters suggestions, I think if you are not in the environment that need to write or receive English email everyday, it's hard to improve email English. So my suggestion is, come to EngTalk, find out a topic and write down your English email. Each time you are laughed by the boardmates here, each time you improve your English! (Just kidding :D) Due to the publication rights, I can't talk more about this book, but I'll try to write some useful emails by myself on the board when I am free. :) By the way, I think it's not lawless to list the catelog of book: Introduction 1.
