hello, actually, i ve juz reply a topic about some short form using in icq, msn...etc so its made me wanna share idea wif you all. i think most of you are taiwanese, so, i dunno whether u hv the experience to talk/chat with Hong kong people in english. but i really wanna tell you some "english habit" of us(hongkong ppl) During the conversation with us, you may find dat, some words you don't understand , even cannot find in the dictionary. It is because, when we talk/chat with ppl in english, we usually mix up some Cantonese during the conversation. it it very often to appear some words, like "la", "ga", "wor", "har" "ma", "ba la"...etc i know that it is hard to understand what these mean. Unless you can speak cantonese AND phonetic skill is very good, if not, you beta ask him/her not to use these words. also, during you talk with us, u may find some words like "beta", "kinda", "gonna"...bahbahbah.... those words were some spoken english, so no matter in usa, england, hong kong, it is very often to see/ listen these words. In fact, once you talk/ listen more english, you will understand more about these words. Hope the above knowledge would help you guyz to talk/ chat with others in english more easily --
