Have any of you watched the cartoon version made in 1979? I have, and I recently bought it on Amazon.com. I think it's much better than the movie even though it doesn't have any special effect. The music is great and it's produced in London. I grew up watching this cartoon and was moved every time. I recommend it to all who love this story and understand the deep meaning of it. By the way, the dvd sold on Amazon. com is a regional 1 dvd; you can download Anydvd to watch it on the computer. --
