Truly, adopting English rules when using English is proper n polite but it's not my point. OK, I'll talk about the "name problem" first. For sure, foreigns call any Chinese names with squence of last bofore first, neither because they are against their culture nor showing sacred respect toward Chinese culture. Instead, names are just symbols. They call Chinese names in whatever way we do; just like we call English names in the way they do. So, we don't see the translated English names are shown in our way (Tom Cruise 克鲁斯汤姆 for instance) but 汤姆克鲁斯 By this, they call Chinese names in our way when using PinIn to translate seems pretty reasonable. BUT, this is not what I would like to express. I truly hope we can learn English well for not only getting more info but learning how to show our own culture well in thier way. That's what I wanna say. I find it really sad so many people argue Chinese culture is so weak n useless that learning Chinese is wasting of time compared with English. Languages are tools for expressing. However, when the tool's held what are we gonna express, our culture or theirs? --
