标题[闲聊] FED为何要在1931年时升息呢?

1929年时 经济大萧条的资料

根据当时的资料 原文如下:
The Great Depression began with the stock market crash of October 24, 1929.
By 1932, the Dow Jones industrial average had fallen 89% from its peak in 1929.
In addition, shortly before the stock market crash, the Federal Reseve
increased interest rates in an attempt to control inflation. It then increased
interest again in early 1931.
从当时资料来看 Fed升息两次 一次1929股市崩盘前 一次1931年
1929年股市崩盘前 当时投机风气盛行 央行升息抑制投机风潮可以理解
但是在1931年时 我们可以看到资料当时甚至是deflation, CPI消费物价指数越来越低
且失业率越来越高 央行实在没有理由升息啊
且後来的历史是 1931年後几乎十年的经济不景气 一决不振
因此我想请问一下版上的大大 有谁知道央行升息的个中原因的吗?
