Consider the utiltiy function U = x^2 + 3y which has MUx = 2x and MUy = 3.
The indifference curves for this utility function
(A)will have a diminishing marginal rate of substitution of x for y.

(C)will have an increasing marginal rate of substitution of x for y.
(D)will be straight lines.
