September 10 will live long in the memory of Dario Simic as it turned into a
double celebration for the defender. Not only did he celebrate his 60th
appearance for Croatia with a goal in the 2-1 defeat to Belgium in their Euro
2004 qualifier, but Simic became a father for the first time. He said: ‘The
birth of my son Roko brought me good luck and naturally I would like to
dedicate the goal to my wife. However, now I’ve got concentrate on the Bologna
game and continue this positive period.' As for the loss of the suspended Paolo
Maldini, Simic said: ‘Of course, it’s not the same without our captain but we
will just get on with it anyway

2003年的9月10号将永远烙印在SIMIC的记忆中
不仅仅是庆祝他第60次代表Croatia出赛,在这场赛事中他也以一颗进球击败了Belgium
更重要的是,在这特别的一天,他迎接了他的第一个孩子Roko
他喜悦的说:Roko的诞生给我带来了好运,我也把这个进球献给我伟大的妻子
虽然我很开心,不过我必须专心的对付即将来临的对Bologna的比赛,并且保持
良好的状态
他也谈到了这场比赛马队缺阵的感想,他说:队长缺阵虽然很遗憾,可是我们仍会全力以赴
