If the spreading rate is slow, as it is in the Atlantic ocean (1cm/year), the crest has a rift valley. Fast spreadind, as in the Pacific ocean (10cm/year), prevents a rift from forming. ───── 也就是说 比较缓慢的扩张速度会形成裂谷 (rift valley) 但是扩张速度比较快的话 却会阻止裂谷的形成？ 我实在百思不得其解 为什麽会有这样的差异 请各位高手指点 谢谢 :) --
