The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences in National Chung Cheng University seeks applicants for four to six faculty positions in the disciplines of earth and environmental sciences. Areas of spe- cific interest in fields include engineering geology, seismology, environmental geophysics, geodesy/remote sensing, environmental micr- obiology, biogeochemistry, environmental (analytical) chemistry, ecological engineering and bio(mass) energy. Scientists with experie- nces in applying the techniques of molecular biology and/or geophysics to the study on geo-scientific and environmental problems are preferred. Successful candidates will have an outstanding research record in their discipline and a strong commitment to teaching and thesis advising. The appointment can be at any level including full professor. The date of appointment is expected to start from February 1, 2006 or August 1, 2006.
