Fundamental由於是大写，因此肯定是指某个东西，
而这可以从CK的介绍中看出端倪，
"The veteran of countless battles on a thousand worlds,
Chaos Knight hails from a far upstream plane where
the
fundamental laws of the universe have found sentient expression.
Of all the
ancient Fundamentals, he is the oldest and
most tireless—endlessly searching out a being he knows only as“The Light.”
Long ago the Light ventured out from the progenitor realm, in defiance of
the first covenant. Now Chaos Knight shifts from plane to plane,
always on the hunt to extinguish the Light wherever he finds it.
A thousand times he has snuffed out the source,
and always he slides into another plane to continue his search anew."
简单来说，CK来自一个较高的"位面"(plane)，
来自这个位面的人似乎就称之为"Fundamentals"，
CK离开那个位面，就是为了要找到一个叫做"The Light"的家伙，然後把他干掉。
"The Light"和CK原本是同个国家(realm)里的，
然而"The Light"为了反抗某个盟约(the first covenant)因此离开，
而这也是CK追杀他的原因。
而按照语意看来，每个位面应该都有一个"The Light"，
所以他已经杀了n次，但还是一直要继续杀，
简单来说CK和"The Light"就是宿敌。
而前一篇的光法篇幅这麽多，
据我来看，这个"The Light"应该就是光法了。
所以这一句话
The universe has no place for a rogue Fundamental.
应该就是(姑且把Fundamental翻作原民)
「这个宇宙没有四处漫游的原民的容身之所。」
这类的意思。
(当然CK自己也是Fundamental，但他不认为自己rogue...XD)
