The Los Angeles Dodgers are the favorites to sign free-agent starting
pitcher Zack Greinke, according to Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald.
CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman wrote earlier in November that the Los
Angeles Angels, Greinke's team at the end of 2012, are seen as the
favorites to sign the free agent, though competition was expected from
the Dodgers and the Texas Rangers.
Greinke is reportedly seeking a $150-million contract this offseason.
The 29-year-old right-hander was 15-5 with a 3.48 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and
200 strikeouts in 212 1/3 innings while pitching for the Angels and
Milwaukee Brewers in 2012.
