The Dodgers will receive
Double-A outfielder Alex Castellanos from the Cardinals
Castellanos, who turns 25 next week, hit .319 for Double-A Springfield this
season. He had a power spike with 19 homers and 62 RBIs in 93 games for the
S-Cards. He was conspicuously absent from the lineup last night in
Springfield.
The righthanded-hitting outfielder was a 10th round pick out of Belmont Abbey
College in 2008.
Furcal, as The Post-Dispatch reported in this morning's paper, is expected to
join the Cardinals in time for tonight's game against the Chicago Cubs at
Busch Stadium.
