That's quite a bit of money to be paying an over-30 infielder with a 731
career OPS, but he will immediately improve the Dodgers' middle infield
defense and should bring a spark to the lineup. Uribe batted .248/.310/.440
this year with 24 home runs and 85 RBI while playing second base, shortstop
and third for the Giants. He will start most games at second in Los Angeles.
