In another effort to keep hold of whatever momentum the Dodgers may have
seized Sunday, Manager Joe Torre is tweaking his lineup for the second
straight night, benching Matt Kemp and giving Juan Pierre his first start of
the series in center field. Nomar Garciaparra goes back to the bench in favor
of regular first baseman James Loney while second baseman Blake DeWitt, who
had a bases-loaded triple in a five-run first inning Sunday, moves up two
spots in the batting order to sixth.
