: 真怀念刚爷啊
: 我们的打线已经是I can't hit了
Talking about home-field advantage, we can simply deliberate in 3 points:
1. Home team OFs know how the ball bounces both foul-line and wall-
rebounded drives better than vistors'.
2. Home team hitters have got used in the 'landscape' of the home field
as they waltz into the hitting box which makes them perform a
better plate discipline than vistors'.
3. Home team 3rd base coach has a better idea about when to order the
base-runner to move an extra base over as a long shot was hit
than visitors'.
For Dodger Stadium, the reason why it is a "pitchers' park" has nothing
to do ( or says, a little things to do ) with preventing the HRs by long
distance of OF poles. It protects the pitchers because of its vastly,
endlessly foul territory. Moreover, the "Blue" gives each hitter a too
saturated view so that one may not hit the ball pretty well. In a nutshell,
Dodger Stadium distorts the probability of occurences of extra-base hits.
In recent 2 years, Dodger roster has been dismantled twice. Dodger Stadium
subsequently has been made two major renovations. Considreing the repainting
of the seats, the "getting closer to foul line" bleacher, newcomers have yet
a chance to get used playing in Dodger Stadium and its aspects were modified
again. And then, more newcomers were brought in .
Under these circumstances, I am not convinced that Dodgers "do" have their
awarded home field advantage. Surely we may never have it substantially
if McCourt doesn't stop renovating the beloved Dodger Stadium or
Colletti keeps on bringing those "veteran" newbies.
