It has been a lucrative night for president Lendoiro, as he once again put his negociation skills to good use. After twelve hours, the Canarian club finally agreed to let three players go, in order to cover their debt, and a deal will be signed next week. According to this deal, Ruben, Momo and Carmelo - three of the most promising players from Las Palmas - will be transfered to Deportivo. The transfer of Ruben has been rumoured for a long time, a pre-contract already exists with this player, and his inclusion in the deal is no surprise, in spite of more conservative statements by the player recently. The 22 years old forward has scored 19 goals this season, and has been in great form in the first half of the season. Momo is 21 years, and plays in the inner midfield position. He is very comfortable with his left leg, and a very promising player. He is the main reason for the negociations to last so long, as Lendoiro threatened to break the deal, if Momo wasn't included. Carmelo is also 21 years old midfielder, and he already played in La Liga two seasons ago, but he hasn't managed a breakthrough to elite football yet. Additionally, Deportivo will have the first option in buying more players from the club that already produced stars like Valeron or Manuel Pablo. According to some sources, Lendoiro wanted for more players to be transfered to Deportivo, even some from the youth team, but in the end he had to agree to this compromise. Now that a signed agreement with Las Palmas is in reach, Deportivo will have to negociate with the individual players. In the case of Ruben, the pre-contract already exists, and negociations will be simple, he will be part of Deportivo for the next seven seasons. The cases of Momo and Carmelo are more complicated, there have been no negociations with the players yet. But the two players know that there are little chances for them to play for Deportivo in the next season, so they might consider other offers, especially Momo who has been approached by Sevilla and Mallorca.
