Both players never were on Irureta's mind for this current season, and some additional problems arose when Goran Djorovic expressed his will to actually stay and succeed at Depor regardless anything else. Curiously enough, the announcement came shortly after Elche's general manager, Mariano Aguilar, stated that talks between the clubs were over. In the meantime , president Lendoiro and president Ramon Sanchez reached an agreement. According to Mariano Aguilar there was no possible negotiation with Depor, although it was said that "the friendship between the two presidents gives some room to hope."
