2003/08/15 http://www.deportivo-la-coruna.com/ THREE DEPORTIVO PLAYERS IN SPAIN SQUAD Again several players of Deportivo were called up by national coach Inaki Saez to be present at a training session in preparation of some important matches. Leftback Romero, midfielder Valeron and striker Tristan were picked for the session to be held on August 19 and 20 at the Ciudad del Futbol Espanol at Las Rozas, Madrid. In this list don’t appear other players of the club who recently have played for the Spanish, like Cesar, Sergio and Capdevila. Several other players at Deportivo have also been called up in the past, like Molina, Manuel Pablo, Victor Sanchez, Fran, Amavisca and Luque, but don’t seem to fit in the current plans of the coach. There were surprising call-ups for Atletico striker Fernando Torres, Real Madrid defender Francisco Pavon, Sevilla striker Jose Antonio Reyes, Daniel Aranzubia (of Athletic) and Lopez Rekarte (Real Sociedad). It’s well known that former youth coach Saez has a preference for using young players.
