Darvish, who is currently on the disabled list, threw 87 pitches (56 strikes) over 6 innings, striking out six, walking one, and allowing three hits. Darvish said after the game that he feels ready to face major league hitters, and he is currently slated to pitch Saturday night for the Rangers in Arlington against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Darvish has been working his way back from March, 2015, Tommy John surgery, and will pair up with Cole Hamels to give the Rangers one of the most formidable 1-2 punches at the top of a rotation in the majors.
