Choo will wear 17, Nelson Cruz’s old jersey number on the team. Yu Darvish,
one of the best pitchers of the league from Japan, will be a teammate.

“I’m glad that I play for the same team as Darvish, the best pitcher in the
majors, so I won’t have to deal with his pitches,” Choo said. “I want to
get close to him.”

The total amount spent on Darvish is 108 million for 6 years. 2 years of
inflation makes that 108 million worth 113 million in todays dollars.
2.) Darvish has already earned 10 WAR, and by Fangraphs valuation already
been worth 47 million in just the first 1/3 of the deal. If he stays healthy
and is just a 16 WAR pitcher over the next 4 years that makes his deal worth
over 130 million.
花在达尔身上的钱- (51.7M入札+56M/6年薪水)=108M/6年 (剩下激励奖金达到才有先不谈)
根据Fangraphs 达尔2年 9.9WAR已经价值47M (回本三分之一..快二分之一了)
如果维持健康剩下4年加总16WAR，早已让他合约价值超过130M。
