This is correct.
I personally don't like to receive this sort of questions,
although I am not an European.
Think, when you receive a question like that,
how would you answer it?
Suppose the information is nothing to do with the others.
Similarly, sometimes I would receive some messages sent from strangers here.
They quite usually asked somewhat like 'Where are you?',
'What is your career?', School, whatever?
There was even a guy said 'I don't think so', after I answered 'where I am'.
I always had to stop more questions by somehow...
I do really think, everybody should really think about this.
When you ask a question, do really think about if it is too private.

It is not a happiness to refuse to answer a stupid and bad question.
It is not their faults...
