"He's going to find that hole between third and short and up the middle,
and that famous
Juan Pierre flair is coming right around the corner,"
manager Dusty Baker said.
... That Juan Pierre flair?!
"I've never heard that before; that's the first time," Pierre said.
"What was he talking about?"
Baker was talking about Pierre's past flair for creating excitement and
igniting an offense out of the leadoff spot, not the flare to the outfield he
poked in the ninth inning Thursday.
"Oh, OK, but that's the first I heard about that one," Pierre said.
Pierre 目前得分7分, 仅次於 Lee 的9分, 但是 avg.235 opb.275 实在是不怎麽好看,
不过球季才刚刚开始, 我相信以後他对得分进帐来说还是很重要的。Dusty Baker 则说
皮耶没什麽好担心的, 只要天气开始转暖他就会打的更好。
皮耶还做了一个结论: 03年 WS 的马林鱼有他打 lead-off, 04 WS 红袜有 Damon,
05 白袜有 Podsednik, 所以一个好的开路先锋对打 WS 是很重要的。
