After grabbing Derrick Rose in a blockbuster trade on Wednesday, ESPN's Ian Begley reports that several members of the Knicks organization are interested in making a run at free-agent center Joakim Noah. The 30-year-old grew up in New York and holds close ties to Rose and Knicks star Carmelo Anthony. After moving starting center Robin Lopez to Chicago in the Rose deal, the Bulls now have a potential replacement for Noah, while opening up a vacancy in New York. Noah only made 29 appearances as he toiled through yet another injury-plagued campaign in 2015-16. When he did manage to suit up, Noah was a shadow of his former All-NBA First Team form as he averaged 4.3 points on 38.3 percent shooting from the floor. In a trend dating back at least two seasons, Noah has struggled to finish around the basket and has been a liability on offense. His defense, however, remains sharp. The Bulls reportedly consider re-signing Noah a "high priority", but given the acquisition of Lopez, Noah's time in Chicago seems to be numbered.
