Johnson Tribune staff reporter May 4, 2005, 10:57 PM CDT Chris Duhon's spirit hurt worse than his bad back late Wednesday night, which proves how tortuous a loss the Bulls endured. Duhon grimaced his way through 33 minutes against Washington, finishing with eight points, four assists and several floor burns in the 112-110 defeat . He could barely dress afterward. "I was just trying to help my team," Duhon said. "If I could contribute in any way, I was going to go out there. I've been doing treatment all day for two days, right up until the game." Duhon tried to save his first-quarter turnover by diving out of bounds for the ball, landing among photographers. Later in the quarter, he tried to take a charge on Larry Hughes and grimaced as he stood up after being called for a block. In the third, he slid into the scorer's table trying to save a loose ball. "'Due' gave a great effort," coach Scott Skiles said.
