Bruce first moved to London in 1983 to become the head of the London office of US law firm White & Case. In 1989, Bruce moved to Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP to develop the firm's European offices. An M&A and capital markets lawyer, he also served as Managing Partner for Europe for the firm from 1989 until he stepped down in 2014. In addition to his role as Chairman of Chelsea FC Plc and Chelsea Football Club Limited, Bruce is a trustee and chairman of the Chelsea FC Foundation, the official charity affiliated to and supported by the Club. For many years until mid-2021, Bruce was the chairman of the Premier League's Audit and Remuneration Committee. He is one of Roman Abramovich's closest associates and was formerly head of corporate finance at Sibneft, the oil company sold by Mr Abramovich in 2006. He is the managing director of MHC-Services Ltd and sits on the board at EVRAZ plc. Tenenbaum joined the Chelsea board when Mr Abramovich purchased the club in 2003 and has been a member throughout a glittering chapter in the club's history, with nine pieces of major silverware collected prior to the lifting of the Champions League trophy in Munich in 2012. That was added to by the Europa League a year later and in 2015, another Premier League title and League Cup with a further league championship added two years later, followed by more domestic and European glory, including the Europa League and Champions League again. In 2022 the FIFA Club World Cup was added. Tenenbaum graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in economics. He also holds a bachelor's degree in commerce and finance from the same university. She graduated in 1997 from Moscow State University with honours and the same year started her career at Sibneft, the oil company formerly owned by Roman Abramovich. She has worked closely with Mr Abramovich as a senior adviser over the last 18 years, looking after his various assets and interests. She moved from the Russian capital to London shortly after the acquisition of Chelsea Football Club in 2003 and since 2010 has acted as a representative of the owner at the club and in support of the board of directors. She joined the board of Chelsea FC plc and the Football Club Board in June 2013 and is mainly responsible for player transactions. In addition to being a native Russian speaker, Granovskaia is fluent in English and speaks several other European languages.
