Genk, for the second straight year, will seek to enter the competition through the Domestic Champions route. The last time Genk were in the competition through the UEFA Champions League path, they finished third in their group, failing to qualify for the knockout stages. Chelsea finished second in Group H, which mirrored the senior team's draw in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
