The Romanian, 39, was sacked by the Blues in 2004 after testing positive for cocaine and being given a seven-month ban by FIFA. That began a series of rulings and appeals, with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) initially ordering Mutu to pay damages to Chelsea for breach of contract in 2009.
