Monday lunchtime's draw means we have been given a home match in all four rounds so far and presents the Blues with a chance to make amends for our league defeat at White Hart Lane in November. The game will test Chelsea's unbeaten home record against our London rivals that stretches back 17 years. The last two FA Cup meetings between the two sides have come at this stage of the competition. In 2002, Chelsea won 4-0 at White Hart Lane in the 'normal service resumed game' - coming hard on the heels of our big defeat there in the League Cup. Gallas, Le Saux and Gudjohnsen with two goals scored in the revenge match. In 1982, the tie was at Stamford Bridge after a Second Division Chelsea side had caused a major upset by beating European Champions Liverpool in the fifth round. However we lost 3-2 to Spurs in the sixth round despite Mike Fillery opening the scoring with a free-kick. Alan Mayes netted the final goal late on. The north Londoners were on their way to lifting the trophy. The previous FA Cup meeting was the Final in 1967, Chelsea's first at Wembley and the first all-London affair. A Bobby Tambling goal was not enough to prevent a 3-2 defeat. Prior to that, Chelsea won a 1965 home meeting 1-0 and a replay a year earlier 2-0 at home. In 1957 we lost 4-0 at the Lane. The first FA Cup clash between the sides came in 1910 when Spurs won 1-0 at the Bridge, making it 4-3 to Spurs in terms of FA Cup progress against each other. This season's tie will be played the weekend of 10/11 March. The exact date and ticket details will be announced later.
