The French Under-21 international has become an almost forgotten man at Stamford Bridge following his move across the channel from Le Havre in the summer of 2005. There are high hopes for him, but in spite of only ever being used as a fringe player with The Blues he is adamant his time has been well spent in West London. "I am learning a lot at Chelsea, especially on a technical level: training every day with such players, then in the Under-21 national team you realise it is not as quick," he told France Football. "I am also learning about pressure. That is what I experience every day in England. When I hear people compare me to Claude Makelele, it is flattering of course, but I am cautious. "Obviously I would love to have a similar career to him. But that has not been my main concern so far. I am staying patient and working hard." He was linked with a summer move to join Serie B side Juventus this summer, but says he has had too much reassurance from the manager to leave just yet. "I often talk with Jose Mourinho," he added. "At the start of the season he told me I wouldn't leave and he is relying on me. "I will take stock in January considering now it is time for me to play a little more. Then if it doesn't go smoothly we will see what a player wanting to play more often has to face. Only the future will show if I was right to sign at Chelsea. "If I have to leave in six months or a year I would not have wasted my time.
