Kalou receives first international call

Salomon Kalou’s international future as an Ivory Coast player has been
confirmed formally with his selection in the squad to face Senegal in a
friendly
next Wednesday.

The new Chelsea striker had stated that his international future lay with the
country of his birth when speaking last week during Chelsea’s visit to the
USA. He had previously made an unsuccessful attempt to gain Dutch citizenship
when playing for Feyenoord.
(之前申请荷兰国籍不成功。)
Kalou will now join older brother Bonaventure as an Ivorian international.
Didier Drogba is also named in the latest squad.
