As revealed by skysports.com in March, Chelsea had agreed a deal to sign the Espanyol teenager. Tejera is regarded as one of the best young players in Spain and he has represented his country at youth level. Chelsea beat a host of clubs to sign the 16-year-old as Jose Mourinho looks to plan for the future at Stamford Bridge. The Premiership champions are thought to have paid a compensatory fee of €130,000 (￡90,000) for Tejera.
