Wright-Phillips happy at Chelsea
Shaun Wright-Philips insists he is happy at Chelsea, despite a difficult first
season at Stamford Bridge.
The 24-year-old midfielder joined the Blues for ￡21m from Manchester City in
2005 but has struggled to hold down a regular place in Jose Mourinho's team.
He told BBC Five Live Sport: "I don't have any regrets about moving. It's all
a big learning curve and I've actually become a better and a wiser player.
"My Chelsea contract is for four more years, that's all that is on my mind."
He made only 10 Premiership starts during the 2005-2006 campaign and was
subsequently overlooked for England's World Cup squad this summer.
Wright-Phillips has eight England caps and former Manchester City manager
Stuart Pearce has indicated that he would be prepared to welcome him back to
the club.
