The Dutchman decided to resign after a disappointing season in which the Rotterdam side finished fourth in the Eredivisie, 25 points behind champions PSV Eindhoven. Gullit was under contract until the end of next season, but has decided to leave along with his assistant Zeljko Petrovic. "It is always depressing when trainers leave," chairman Jorien van den Herik told the club's official website. But things didn't work out at all like we had hoped.
