Crespo loaned to Milan

Chelsea have agreed terms with AC Milan for the one year loan of Hernan
Crespo. The situation will be reviewed at the end of the loan period.
Crespo joined Chelsea from Milan’s big city rivals Inter last summer in
a ￡16.8 million move. In an interrupted season at Stamford Bridge he made
31 appearances, ten as substitute, and scored 12 goals - the last coming in
the Champions League semi-final away leg.
In spending a year on loan at the reigning Serie A Champions, Crespo
will be reunited with Carlo Ancelotti, his manager at Parma during the spell
when the Argentinian striker built his reputation in Europe.
Chelsea would like to thank Hernan for his contribution to the club last
season and wish him the best while he is in Italy.
