He's a good enough facilitator to involve the other guys when he doesn't have it but I want one of the greatest shooters in NBA history shooting when with the second unit not Baby taking 18 footers and Tony taking wild, off balance drives to the basket. ----------------------------------------------- Like just about everyone not named Pierce, Ray's shot was off last night. He wasn't making his early open looks and was swatted the one time I recall him taking it to the rim. It looks like we were playing him the same way we did early last season, using him as a spot up shooter. I think Ray needs the ball in his hands a little more, and not just running around the perimeter. It's a great opportunity to get Ray going offensively each night, they should make more of it. ----------------------------------------------- I think more and more Ray is going to become a spot up shooter on the team, there will be lots of screen and rolls for him, but as far as him with the ball at the top of the key creating his shot, probably not (unless Sashsa Vujacic is standing in front of him, and then 10 feet behind him). TA is a slasher, and as unorthodox and ugly as it is at times, he can create his own shot better than Ray. I do think Ray definitely should see more of the ball when he is the only member of the big three out there, but it was just one game, and the Cavs play Ray Ray well, so maybe Doc was trying to throw something out of the ordinary at them. Hey, it worked. --------------------------------------------- ◎　 小结 （１）希望RAY能打得更有侵略性~ 　　（２）RAY(也许)正转型为定点射手，但是他会获得更多掩护~ （３）如果河流放弃一些既有的东西，球队或许会运转的更好~ 所谓的放弃一些东西，真的是非常玩味的一句话~~~ 於是──下面这几段就是重点了！ --------------------------------------------- Ray is a shooter/scorer and I would like to see him play less minutes and get more shots up per minute. I really wouldn't mind Ray playing 25 minutes per game and taking more shots per minute. He really isn't above average in any other facet of the game. Does he really have to play 41 minutes just to space the floor? -------------------------------------------- It is not just about getting shots for Ray. It is about trying to run the offense at it's most effectiveness. And putting the ball in Ray's hands when Pierce, KG and Rondo are on the bench would make the Celtics offense the most effective it can be. Ray can do more then just catch and shoot. ---------------------------------------------- ◎ 小结： （４）RAY需要的是持球时间，不是上场时间。 　　（５）宁愿RAY在较短的上场时候里有更多的出手。 （６）与其说是更多的出手，其实是更有效率的得分。 ----------------------------------------------- Well yes Ray has to play 41 mins to space the floor because he and Pierce are the only guys on the team that need to be guarded at the 3 pt line. The only way around this is to give some mins to Pruitt. That is the flaw in the whole Eddie as a pg and the Eddie, Tony, Ray line up. Eddie is not a good 3pt shooter pulling up off the dribble and he doesn't do a great job of finding others open looks or handling the ball in traffic. Tony can get his own shot but gets in trouble when he starts trying to create shots and find the open man and is an iffy spot up shooter even if left wide open. Ray is in a simliar situation as Tony creating but much like Eddie he is way better off the ball catching and shooting. failing that if he is going to use House and Allen together I think that Pierce has to be on the floor with them to be the primary distributor. The other three's strengths and weaknesses are too simliar and we end up with Tony as the defacto pg which would be fine if he can find Ray or Eddie on the wing but more often it his him going head down to the goal. --------------------------------------------------- ◎ 　　小结： 　　（７）现在球队具有三分威胁的人只有RAY和PP，可以让Pruitt上场解决这个窘境。 　　 　　（注：上面这一大段同时还有讲到TA和房子的功用，房子会被排除在三分威胁之外， 是因为房子、TA和RAY同时在场上的时候，房子如果作为PG是有缺陷的，所以该名 　　 作者认为PP最好和房子、TA一起在场上。） ---------------------------------------------------- ◎ 　　结论： 　　我个人觉得11/5那场对火箭的比赛是非常好的例子，那场比赛RAY表现的很好， 塞尔提克全队帮RAY的掩护和挡人也做的比上季好太多了~~~~ (偷跑到火箭板看推文，看到有人推赛队几乎全队都在帮RAY掩护、挡人 我还真的蛮开心的XD~ ) RAY本来就不是定点射手，他最能发挥价值的地方也不仅仅是投篮，但是塞尔提 克本来就不是讲究进攻的球队，如何让RAY最小的每一分有最大的质量是很重要的。 那已经不是PP一球在手，还迟迟不把球传给RAY的问题了...... 所以RAY和PP的进攻重叠，的确是无解，但现在我相信根本也不需要解决了。 而且，三巨头手上已经有冠军了。 定点射手？我肯定RAY他自己不会这麽认为。 以上，一点想法。^^ (若有对英文原文误解造成歧见的情况，烦请告知~) GO GO CELTICS~~~~~ # --
